The River on StoneWind's Mountain flows past a “stone happening” built by two Guests on their own Quest. Now two more “happenings“ stand close by, built by others who came to the mountain and heard the whisper of the river and the stones. Click to enlarge.

Tom Anderson

..is an explorer and guide whose mission is to serve the world by awakening a sense of purpose in its people.

Whether he is speaking in front of a large audience, guiding a small group, or working one-on-one with coaching clients, Tom brings to his work a deep, intuitive sense informed by the reflections of wild nature.

Tom's personal journey has been one of both spiritual and soulful exploration. His own story parallels those of the people he serves: outward worldly success while urged by a deep yearning of the heart to live a life of deeper meaning and purpose.

Following insights reveled on his first Vision Quest experience, Tom has answered the call to bring the teaching he received back to a wider audience. These teachings help people discover their deep souls' callings so that they might better serve themselves, their communities, and the world. Through the Vision Quest model of personal development, Tom invites people into the world of the imagination where everything is a mirror to the secrets of the soul.

Tom has Vision Quested and trained as a guide with Rites of Passage and has also received training in deep soul exploration work with Animas Valley Institute. Additionally, Tom has many hours of spirit-based training through Unity Institute.

Tom believes that humanity is at a crossroads - one filled simultaneously with both danger and blissful possibility. Earth and all of its inhabitants are calling to each of us to do our part on this Great Turning - and our souls are answering. Tom's roll is to help those who are beginning to feel this soul-tug understand its meaning and message in their own individual lives and then to guide them to a place where they can begin to live a life that is purposeful and passionate, for in living our deepest purpose, we not only serve ourselves, but we serve the world as well.

Tom captures the essence of his teachings in his upcoming book entitled Live a Mythic Life, in which he challenges the reader to view their life as a heroic journey and fearless search for their gift to give.

Tom, age 46, makes his home in Overland Park, Kansas along with his wife Leslie and their two children Wesley and Kate.

We are all born with a gift to share with the world. We call this gift our “purpose,” “calling," "soul path," even our "soul contract." Sometimes we discover our gift—our purpose—early and live it to the fullest, but most often we take the path laid out for us by the expectations of others, by our own youthful choices, sometimes simply by the path of least resistance. And then one day we feel the vibrations of change rippling through our lives. Life Maps fail,  relationships falter,  careers end or become boring, perhaps we become ill. No matter the trigger, we reach a moment when we know we must find newer, better, deeper answers to life's questions. And most of us arrive at that moment unprepared for the journey ahead.

To take such a journey we need a guide—someone who knows the “lay of the land,” someone who has walked the trail ahead of us and has tools to help us on our way. Tom Anderson is such a guide. He is a Vision Quest Guide, and Soul Quest, a shortened version of the longer Vision Quest, is a rare opportunity to turn a “weekend in the woods” into what can be a truly life-changing event.
